The cooperative housing company SKB explains more about the values it wants to achieve in the project for residents. “For the residents in the test area, this means that the focus is on good function and quality rather than on installing new products. Optimizing the lifespan with maintenance and renovation can have a positive impact on the environment and help reduce consumption costs, which is exactly what the circular economy is aiming for.” The research project VFB “White goods based functional services for housing companies” is partly funded by Vinnova and SKB is one of several participating housing companies together with the manufacturer Electrolux.
